Kaarinan Puuha - areenalle merkittävä olosuhteiden parannus
Puuha - arena where KaaPo’s men’s and women’s representative teams play has long been in need of an improvement in spectator conditions. Finally in November, a magnificent covered grandstand manufactured by Huuhka Sport was handed over to the users. During the winter season, thanks to the pitch’s heatability, the field is also used by other football clubs from Kaarina. In the spring when the leagues begin, the grandstand, which will receive its true baptism of fire, will of course also serve numerous matches of Kaarina’s juniors.
The delivery and installation project of the grandstand went in very good cooperation with Huuhka Sport. Schedules were agreed upon after the competitive bidding and they were also adhered to by both sides. It also felt good that Huuhka Sport's installers independently noticed and repaired a small paint damage that occurred during transport; this matter related to quality control further increased trust in the supplier.
The impact on Puuha-Arena’s spectator conditions is remarkable; the lightweight and uncovered grandstands previously at the edge of the field are now replaced by two modern grandstand complexes providing protection from rain and wind, which can accommodate over two hundred spectators. It was also considered a good idea that the colors of the grandstand take into account both the main user KaaPo and the city of Kaarina. The spectators of small juniors' games played on a half-pitch also benefit from the division into two sections, as both halves of the field now have their own hundred-person grandstand.
We at the city of Kaarina believe that the improved conditions at Puuha - arena will further improve Kaarina’s positive image as a sports city. After all, during the season, in addition to spectators from Kaarina, hundreds of players and supporters from elsewhere also visit the matches. Puuha-arena can now be spoken of as a “real” football stadium.

Puuha-areenan pääkäyttäjänä on Kaapo.

HPS, Helsingin palloseura
The traditional Helsinki-based football club HPS received new grandstand elements
A successful delivery
The compact grandstand solution delivered by Huuhka Sport, featuring stylish bucket seats, increases the seating capacity of Briotech Arena by over 200 covered seats. As a result, the home ground of Helsingin Palloseura saw a significant improvement in spectator facilities.
No comparable solution found
HPS's main pitch, known as Pakila Road, was in dire need of additional grandstand space. For the development of our matchday events, it was crucial for us to find the perfect solution. Space was limited, the placement of the stand had specific requirements, and customizability was a non-negotiable demand for the supplier. Fortunately, we found the ideal partner for this important project. Huuhka Sport’s container-based solution fit our needs perfectly. I couldn’t find anything similar on the market — nothing that was this functional, high-quality, and cost-effective. This durable and safe solution also allows us to increase capacity step by step in the future. And we didn’t have to compromise on comfort — we want our supporters and club members to enjoy their experience to the fullest.
Surprisingly fast delivery
The speed of the entire process was a surprise. I especially want to thank the team for the smooth and painless cooperation. Progress was as effortless and fast as one could imagine. It’s quite rare to receive a completed project even before the agreed deadline.
The end result: installation took place on a Thursday in May, and by Saturday, a top-tier Kansallinen Liiga match between HPS and HJK was already being played in front of a full stand. Fans and the whole club community were deeply moved to see how our local club’s arena is growing and evolving.
A high-quality stand for high-quality events
In the bigger picture, this renewal contributes to the overall development of football culture.
The grandstand upgrade allows us to host even higher-quality matches and tournament events. Already last season, there were several matches where additional seating was needed. The early matches this season have clearly demonstrated the same.
The licensing requirements of the Kansallinen Liiga also demand covered seating — so this development was necessary — but most importantly, we wanted a more permanent solution. Huuhka Sport delivered the perfect outcome by providing us with a safe, comfortable, and durable package.
Now, Briotech Arena serves all users and spectators more effectively and improves the matchday experience for both adult and junior games, as well as other events.
Welcome to enjoy top-tier football at Briotech Arena!

A New Grandstand Brings a Colorful Boost to Local Football
It began with a proposal to the municipality’s Culture and Leisure Committee — and now it’s complete: the new grandstand at Amos Park in Kimitoön.
“The end result was a positive surprise,” says Bo-Eric Ahlgren, Head of Welfare at the Municipality of Kimitoön.
“I had a hard time imagining what it would look like, but it turned out to be a nice ensemble that highlights Kimitoön’s colors,” Ahlgren explains.
The grandstand is part of a larger arena project in Amosparken. In addition to the stand and the surrounding fencing, next year’s investments include completing the maintenance building and installing new lighting. The total cost of the two-year project is €400,000.
Thanks to the investment, the municipality’s football teams will get a much-needed boost, and the matchday experience will become more spectator-friendly.
“Since the grandstand is covered, people can enjoy the games even in bad weather,” Ahlgren notes.
Amosparken hosts an average of 150 matches each year. One of the biggest events is the Nurmikenttä Cup, held annually in early August.
The grandstand has been long awaited by the local football community.
“It finally feels like we have a real stadium,” says Jens Törnqvist, Chair of the Football Division at Kimito Sports Club.
“The new grandstand and fencing at Amosparken have given football on the island a major boost. Even just the fence around the pitch changed the atmosphere completely — and the grandstand was the cherry on top,” he says.
The grandstand offers 264 covered seats in the municipal colors: yellow, white, and blue. It is built from modular concrete elements, making it possible to relocate if needed. The main contractor for the project was Huuhka Oy.
The official opening will take place in May when the football season kicks off, but the stand has already been test-used during the autumn.
“The reception has been positive,” Ahlgren says.
“We hope to generate more activity, attract more spectators to the matches, and provide a place for football fans to gather and enjoy the sport,” he adds.
Törnqvist personally hopes that all football played on Kimitoön will one day be played at Amosparken.
“This is now the best arena on the island. The pitch is the best for players — and the most comfortable for spectators,” he says.
